Cocoons Recipe

Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
Confectioners sugar (for rolling cookies after baking)

Directions:

Step 1:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 2:
Add remaining ingredients and shape into small balls or crescents.

Step 3:
Place on greased cookie sheet. (These do not expand, so they may be placed close together).

Step 4:
Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. They will NOT be brown.

Step 5:
Remove from cookie sheet and place on wire rack. Let cool 1 minute only.

Step 6:
Roll in confectioners sugar while WARM so sugar will adhere to cookie and shake off excess. Store in airtight container.
